    Collaboration University

    Greetings, Geeks!

Well, I (finally!) got travel approval from IBM to speak at the two upcoming Collaboration University events, the first one in Kansas City (Sept. 10-12) and the second one in London (Spet. 19-21).

I'm really looking forward to this, more than usual in fact. For one thing, KC has GREAT ribs, and blues. For another thing, I'm looking forward to mingling with some of my esteemed colleagues who I don't get to chat with very often at work (Ed Brill, Mary Beth Raven, Kevin Cavanaugh). But the biggest reason is the chance to rub elbows with some of the best in the business -- YOU.

I'm doing 2 sessions of the usual sort: one on Web Services and one on Eclipse/Expeditor plug-ins. But I'm also participating in something rather new. I'm sort of co-hosting a closing session with Mary Beth on the future of Notes and of Notes/Domino programmability. Rather than make this a preview of new features and stuff (which we can't talk about anyway, it's too soon), I want to make it much more interactive; a discussion (maybe even a debate, who knows?). Rather than tell you what I think (boring), I want to hear what YOU think.

    Come on down!

Hey Bob, look forward to seeing you there. Kitty.

It will be great to see you Bob.

Can I ask if you'll be bringing the tuxedo to London? It would add a touch of class :-)

@2 - That tux is long gone, it was rented. If you beg, I will bring (and maybe even wear!) a tie.

@2 - LOL - "a touch of class"... reminds me of that trend in the '80s where people would put stickers with text in script at the top of their car windshields.

Anybody else picture a mid-80's Mustang with some fuzzy dice and "A Touch of Class" at the top of the front windshield?

Bob, for those of us that won't be able to make Collab. U., are there plans for webcasts of any or all of it?

@4) We had them inthe UK too, but they were black Ford Capris and instead of 'A Touch of class' would have, for argument's sake 'Kevin* and Sharon'. And of course Kevin would be driving.

*no offense to our dear Kevin Pettitt of course :-)

@4 - we're trying to get the keynotes worked out for live broadcast, at least the US one when everyone is awake. Possibly also the final session in the UK, "The Best of CU"
